• Spencer does not bill for travel, postage, copying, courier, food, lodging, or other such incidentals. If you have questions about this, please ask.
• Spencer does not bill for docketing, client reporting, and other overhead required to maintain a client’s portfolio.
• Spencer will travel to meet with clients and inventors for most patent disclosures at no additional cost.

Fixed Fees Available:

• Fixed fees can be arranged for any patent prosecution matter so that you know in advance exactly what you will be charged.
  • Prosecution items includes preparation and filing of provisionals, utility patents, continuations, divisionals, CIPs, office actions, issue fees, Examiner interviews, etc.
• For non-prosecution items (e.g., research, infringement analysis, etc.) we can arrange a budget or billing cap in advance.

Pricing for New Patent Applications:

• Software Patent Applications – Approx. $10,000 to 12,000 USD plus USPTO fees;
• Simple Patent Applications – Approx. $7,000 to $9,000 USD plus USPTO fees;
• Provisional Patent Applications – Approx. $3,000 to $3,500 plus USPTO fees;
• Office Actions – Approx. $2500 to $3500 plus USPTO fees;
